About Ross McSwan
Ross’s experience lies in Alternative Dispute Resolution with a keen interest in resolving family disputes and conducting complex complaints and investigations.
Following a number of years in a successful general law practice involving family law, rural conveyancing and commercial litigation Ross relocated to the Northern Territory.
Ross is a Commander with the Royal Australian Navy Reserve (Legal Corps). He has conducted complex workplace conferences, acted as an accreditor of mediators.
Ross has significant experience in assisting Navy personnel in employment law matters and has recently been deployed to assist with Operation COVID ASSIST. Ross is recognized as a mediator by the Queensland Bar Association. He has over 2000 hours mediation experience attained through resolving disputes for: Local Government, Education Qld / Brisbane Catholic Education, Independent Schools Qld and Department of Community Services Private enterprise including JETSTAR.
Ross is recognised under the Family Law Act as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to assist in resolving complex parenting and children issues in the Family Law system.
Ross has formal qualifications in workplace investigations through the Qld State Government and has received additional training from the Australian Defence Force on how to conduct Inquiry Officer Inquiries. He is regularly engaged in the education and community sectors to conduct External Complaint Assessments and formal investigations.
